Alison owned and operated a manufacturing and retail business – Millers Fireplaces Ltd, for over 19 Years in her hometown of Hamilton, Scotland. Her dream to live overseas flourishing, she began looking for a new adventure. Alison packed up and moved to Canada with her husband and 2 children in 2017. She studied for a year at Okanagan College to refresh her skill set and is currently enjoying her latest role at Habitat for Humanity in the Okanagan. Alison describes the role as the perfect balance of being both challenging and rewarding.
