WHAT WE DO NOT ACCEPT

ReStore Staff and Management appreciate all donations but reserve the right to refuse any item determined not sellable in the store. Depending on current inventory levels we may not be able to accept some items.

Currently not being accepted for donation            (some exceptions apply, see currently not accepting list)

Text books (college or otherwise)

 Paint and Auto Fluid

  • Any chemicals or cleaners
  • Any chemicals that are primarily flammable or a fuel source like propane, lighter fluid, kerosene, etc.
  • ANY paint from private donor
  • Caulking tubes or any sort
  • Drywall or flooring compound
  • Dangerous or caustic chemicals or pesticides
  • Used Jerry cans

 Outdoor or Seasonal

  • Anything blow up
  • Tents
  • Single plastic patio tables & chairs

 Furniture

  • Furniture with rips, tears, stains, pet scratching or peeling
  • Bunk beds, hide a beds or water beds
  • Mattress, futon or cots
  • Single tables without chairs (unless they fold down)
  • Entertainment stands over 5ft in length and 6ft in height
  • China hutch cabinets over 5ft in length and 6ft in height
  • Piano’s, organs or pool tables
  • Baby furniture or equipment (cribs, highchairs etc)
  • Large L shape desks
  • Glass table tops without the base
  • Electronic medical equipment like beds and lifts
  • Pet furniture

 Building Supplies

  • Lumber under 4’ in length, nailed or visible rot
  • Plywood sheeting with nails, staples or visible rot
  • Doors over 8 ft. (No Mirror, brass or white bi-folds)
  • Windows over 5 ft. in length or height
  • Garage door openers or doors
  • Used flooring including carpet, tile and hardwood

 Plumbing

  • Older toilets (must be low flow 6 L or less)
  • Coloured porcelain toilets or sinks
  • Molded counter and sink combinations (almond and grey are fine)
  • Non-working faucets. (Donated plumbing must have all mounting hardware and plates)
  • Sit down showers
  • Shower doors
  • Jacuzzi tubs, hot tubs
  • Hot water tanks or furnaces
  • Corner tubs
  • Counter tops with holes or angles
  • Molded sinks
  • Garburators
  • Used toilet seats
  • Clothes
  • Toys
  • Office supplies (binders, file folders etc)

 Lighting

  • Acceptable fixtures must be CSA approved and have stickers
  • Pot lights
  • Fluorescent lighting
  • Commercial Lighting

 Electronics

  • Service provider cable boxes, PVR or satellite dishes or routers
  • Printers or fax machines
  • TV’s without an HDMI outlet
  • Tube TV’s

 Exercise Equipment

  • Exercises bikes
  • Elliptical
  • Tread mills
  • Large weight and training sets

 Appliances

  • Gas appliances
  • Appliances older than 10 years
  • Dirty or stained appliances
  • Appliances requiring repair
  • BBQ’s (used)
  • Water coolers
  • Water filtration systems

 We welcome all other donations!  If you are not sure if we will take your item, please contact the Manager of your closest ReStore location at 778 755-4346 and listen the options.
