HABITAT FOR HUMANITY OKANAGAN HONORS OUTSTANDING VOLUNTEERS WITH KING CHARLES III CORONATION MEDALS

Kelowna, BC – Habitat for Humanity Okanagan proudly celebrated two exceptional volunteers, Will (Klaus) Grimm and Jett Dunford, as recipients of the King Charles III Coronation Medal during a special presentation on March 10th at the West Kelowna ReStore and affiliate headquarters.

The event, attended by Habitat staff, volunteers, and community members, recognized Will and Jett for their unwavering commitment and significant contributions to Habitat for Humanity Okanagan’s mission of providing affordable housing for local families.

Will, a longtime volunteer, has been the driving force behind the organization’s scrap metal recycling efforts. His meticulous work and dedication have raised thousands of dollars to support home-building projects. His enthusiasm, sense of humor, and passion for helping others have made him an indispensable part of the Habitat team.

Jett began volunteering at the West Kelowna ReStore as part of his high school graduation requirements but quickly went above and beyond, continuing to give his time long after meeting the necessary hours. His positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to take on any task made him a valued member of the team. Though he has since transitioned to a paid job, he remains connected to Habitat and hopes to return as a volunteer when his schedule allows.

“Will and Jett exemplify the heart of volunteerism,” said Andrea Manifold, CEO at Habitat for Humanity Okanagan. “Their dedication and passion have made a lasting impact, not just within our organization but in the lives of families who rely on affordable housing. It was an honor to recognize them with this prestigious medal.”

The King Charles III Coronation Medal is awarded to individuals who have made significant contributions to their communities, and both Will and Jett embody the spirit of service and generosity that this honor represents.

The event featured a heartfelt medal presentation, words of appreciation from Habitat representatives, and time for attendees to celebrate over light refreshments.
