Eat a Healthy Breakfast
Most of us have been taught since we were children that a nutritious breakfast is the most important meal of the day. An excellent breakfast gives you plenty of energy to get through your day. You will also have better concentration throughout the day by eating breakfast. So, wake up a little earlier and eat some fruits, oatmeal, or you could even make yourself a smoothie!
Make Your Bed
This small step might be what you need to start your day off right. It will take less than two minutes – just do it!
Drink Water
Drinking a cup of cold water as soon as I wake up helps me feel much more awake. Another option is to drink warm water with some lemon or cucumbers.
Practice Gratitude
Starting off your morning with positivity can make more of a difference than you might think.
Work Your Muscles
There are many opportunities for you to stretch your muscles in the morning. You could exercise, stretch, or do some yoga. After a long night’s sleep, this is what most of us need to start off our days.
Open Up Your Windows
Let some sunlight into your room!
Wake Up Earlier
Music
I like to listen to upbeat music as I walk to school or as I am making my breakfast, and this always puts a smile on my face!
Stay Away from Electronics
The first thing we tend to do nowadays is check our phones as soon as we wake up – whether it’s social media, the news or even reading emails. It affects us much more than we sometimes believe. By staying away from electronics in the morning, we have a chance to start off our days positively.
Plan Something Fun
It’s important to have something to look forward to as you go through your day. This can put a smile on your face just by thinking about it! Some examples of small things you can plan include a short nap later on in the day, making yourself some hot chocolate or a new episode of a show that is coming out.
Remember to have fun with how you start off your mornings!
