Jingle Bell Build Reaches $25,000 Goal

Okanagan, BC– Habitat for Humanity Okanagan met its 2021 Jingle Bell Build fundraising goal of $25,000 that will help build safe, affordable housing for local families.

The Jingle Bell Build’s success is a result of the overwhelming support through gingerbread house purchases, event donations, online voting revenue, and the generous sponsorship of RE/MAX Kelowna and our community partners: Emil Anderson Group, Peter’s Your Independent Grocer, Canadian Home Builder’s Association- Central Okanagan, Westwood Fine Cabinetry, Valley First, TOPS, Domino’s Pizza, Cowan Insurance and Conroy Exteriors.

Along with their presenting sponsorship, RE/MAX Kelowna took the extra step and ‘listed’ some of the most creative gingerbread houses for auction. They gifted those funds in conjunction with another $5,000 donated through the RE/MAX Realtor’s Legacy Foundation to ensure the event reached it’s fundraising target.

“We’re thankful for the generosity of our community, and passion of our cause partners in reaching this achievement,” said Andrea Manifold, CEO Habitat Okanagan.  “They have not only helped us raise $25,000 but helped to ensure families in need have a safe, decent, affordable place to call home.”

All the funds raised through the 2021 Jingle Bell Build will go directly to support Habitat’s current build project of 12 affordable homes in Lake Country, BC.

“RE/MAX Kelowna believes in building communities one home at a time and supporting Habitat for Humanity with this fundraising initiative was a natural fit for us,” sad Jerry Redman, Owner RE/MAX Kelowna.  “We are proud of our support of Habitat and are already looking forward to next year’s Jingle Bell Build.”

Habitat Okanagan would like to thank all sponsors and participants who made the second annual Jingle Bell Build a resounding success.
