We have recently received the 2020 statistics from Habitat Canada and delighted to share with you that our rankings in 2020 have seen us move even further into the premier league of ReStores. Thanks to everyone that donates, shops, volunteers and works in our stores.
ReStore sales in May followed the trend by being over budget again, we have now had five consecutive months of outstanding performances.
Stephen our amazing resource development and volunteer co-ordinator will be leaving us in the summer to pursue his own business interests. He is phasing his departure and will working 3 days a week until the end of July.
The AGM is taking place on the 24th June, it will be a virtual event again this year and if you are interested in attending, please contact Alison in the affiliate office for the meeting details.
On the Lake Country site our first triplex is at the dry wall stage, the other two buildings will be starting soon. If you are interested in participating in a team build please contact Danielle Smith Director of Resource Development for more details on how to join in these fund and very rewarding days.
We now have 10 families selected for the new homes. All of these eligible families are in great need for affordable home ownership. Knowing what a difference it will make to their lives and the children’s futures is heart warming and makes everything we do very worthwhile, thank you for your support in helping us to do this.
Our next bottle drive is fast approaching, a reminder to hang onto all your cans and bottles until the 10th of July when we will be happy to accept them at the Kelowna and West Kelowna stores.
