We are jingling with excitement as our 2021 Jingle Bell Build campaign is now in full flow and on course to raise more funds for our Lake Country build. The main prizes for this event are a Nintendo Switch games console for the individual prize, and a 55” smart TV for the team prize. We have had great support from a number of sponsors and participation has already been higher than 2020. I’m delighted to share the news that the West Kelowna ReStore has already achieved its 2021 revenue target! Congratulations and a big thank you to the staff and volunteers that have worked hard to achieve this.

We are about to launch our year end appeal, our last fundraiser of 2021. The appeal will be circulated digitally to all of our contacts. If you are interested in donating, please follow the instructions provided. As with all our fundraising this year, every dollar is being allocated to our build project and helping to change the lives of local families.

Sharon’s passion for Habitat’s mission is very clearly conveyed as she shares the experiences she has had since getting involved and why she is committed to the work that we do. Tarmac has now been laid on the build site and the framing continues the duplex and triplex. I’m happy to report that we are still within our budget for this project thanks in part to the generosity of many contractors and suppliers, who have generously gifted labour and materials to help contain our costs in a time when building material costs have shot through the roof!
