‘Tis the season! Although Christmas time invites a lot of fun and laughter for many people, it is also the time for snow. Snow can be a pain when trying to remove it from your cars before work, or when shovelling it off of your driveway. Luckily, you have these snow removal tips for the following season.
- If you’re expecting a lot of snow, shovel often so that you’re not having trouble shovelling a lot of heavy snow.
- Keep your phone with you when shovelling in case of an emergency.
- To clear ice from car windows pour lukewarm water over them. Use a wiper to then remove the runoff.
- Use rubbing alcohol to get rid of ice on windows. This will also help to defog them.
- Keep your car in your garage if you have one. If not, you can cover your vehicle with a tarp.
- Consider using snowmelt mats on the pathway to your front door to keep it free of slippery ice and snow.
- Get rid of snow by building snowmen with your family. This is a fun and easy way to not only get rid of snow but to also decorate your front yard!
- Use a good shovel. Shovelling snow with a bad shovel won’t help you get rid of snow efficiently, and you might even break your back in the process.
- If you live in a place that has a lot of snowfall (like Canada!), consider investing in a snowblower. This will make your job a little bit easier every Winter.
- Use a leaf blower to get rid of light, fluffy snow.
