Wishing You and Your Family the Best

December 17, 2018

Dear friend,
On behalf of Habitat for Humanity Okanagan, it’s our pleasure to reach out to you this holiday season to wish you and your family all the best! We hope that you have an opportunity to spend time with those closest to you. As we open our homes to others during this festive season, we ask that you take a moment to consider those who struggle to provide a safe, decent home for their family.

For many, finding a home that is both affordable and secure for their family is never easy. Here in the Okanagan the task can be disheartening and stressful. Often the only options available are inadequate, unsafe temporary housing. At Habitat for Humanity Okanagan we want this cycle to stop. Home ownership helps remove the uncertainty and replace it with independence and self-reliance as revealed in Tamara’s story in our newsletter.

These families must often overcome overwhelming barriers. With the support of caring individuals like you, we can do so much more to help empower them to meet those challenges. Right now, is the perfect time to help local families make that first step towards realizing their dreams and providing stability for their family. Will you help?

Habitat for Humanity Okanagan is excited about our future build programs. With secured lands, it is our intention to deliver over 40 new homes into the valley in the next few years. To do this, we need the financial support of both individuals and organizations so we can make this happen for local hardworking families. Together, we can help the families who strive to create a better, safer future for their children.

During this season of giving, as we spend time in the homes of our friends and loves ones, we invite you to consider contributing a monetary gift. We assure you that 100% of your donation will go towards our build program for families here in the Okanagan.

Thank you and once again, on behalf of Habitat for Humanity Okanagan we wish you our warmest wishes this holiday season.
Sincerely,

Cheryl Grant, Neil Smith, Lorraine Richmond
