JANE:

How long have you been volunteering with Habitat for Humanity Okanagan?
I have been volunteering for almost 4 years. (Sept.2018)

What made you decide to come and volunteer with Habitat?
After my husband passed away, I needed something to do while living alone. Restore seemed to fit the bill and it seems to be a good fit.

What do you enjoy most about your volunteering experience?
I enjoy the whole experience. We have a great crew in Penticton, and I look forward to going to work every week. We have a great manager in Trina who always shows volunteers they are appreciated.

How has volunteer work had an impact on your life?
It makes me happy!!

What advice would you have for anyone looking to give their time and resources by volunteering?
Don’t sit home feeling lonely get out and volunteer. You will meet great people and know you have done something to help others less fortunate.
