Volunteer Position:

Administrative Support Volunteer – Office Administration

Reports to:

Resource Development – Volunteer Services office

Purpose of Activities:

The Administrative Support Volunteer will provide support to affiliate and ReStore staff.

 

 

 

Responsibilities:

•    Database management and data entry

•    Correspondence and snail mail

•    Email

•    Filing/Tax receipting

•    Other office duties as required

 

 

Time and Location:

Habitat for Humanity Okanagan Affiliate Office

1793 Ross Road, West Kelowna

Monday- Friday 9 a.m.- 4p.m.

Days flexible

Volunteer commitment:

Administrative Support Volunteers are required to commit to one shift of 2-4 hours

 

 

Training:

Volunteers are required to complete volunteer application and orientation; specific training will be done through shadowing experienced volunteers when available or on job training supervised by Resource Development team.

 

 

Follow-up:

Training opportunities will be made available depending on needs and scheduling.

Volunteers are welcome to attend any training sessions offered on site. Notification of potential training opportunities will be posted at the office or in the newsletter.

Skills Required:

Required but not limited to:

Fluency in English, written and spoken word, keyboarding of 25wpm or more, familiarity with database management, Excel, and outlook and mail merging.
