Hiking trails in the Okanagan

Just recently I went hiking and it made me realize how Autumn is one of the best seasons to trail walk. With the leaves changing colours and only a slight chill in the air, who wouldn’t enjoy spending some time outdoors?! Well, here are some of the best hiking trails in Okanagan!

  1. Mission Creek Greenway

This is a fairly easy hiking trail for walking, cycling, and jogging. There are numerous activity options with creeks, caves and even a waterfall. It has beautiful scenery, picnic areas, parks and rest spots, all perfect for you to spend some quality time with your family this Thanksgiving weekend!

  1. Glen Canyon Regional Park

This is a great hike for all skill levels. There are lots of stairs that are spread moderately throughout the park, so it would also make for a great workout. With beautiful views from the bridge, canyon walls and a river, it is an amazing trail walk for both kids and adults.

  1. Knox Mountain Park

This being one of the most popular parks in the region, there are over 15 different trails to choose from ranging from a variety of difficulty levels. Some of the most well-liked trails include Apex Trail and Paul’s Tomb Trail.

  1. Fintry Provincial Park and Protected Area

Hikers are known for coming back to this park time and time again because not only does it have stunning parks, but there are also amazing campgrounds. This is a great location with waterfalls, beaches and campsites along the way.

Make the most of this beautiful season, since Fall provides a great time to enjoy and take in nature’s vibrant colours while spending time outdoors while the weather is still warm.

Remember to stay safe and have fun!
