As we usher in the autumn season, I wanted to take a moment to connect with you and express my heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering support.  It has been a remarkable last month or so, and I’m excited to share some of the highlights with you.

First and foremost, I am deeply thankful for the dedicated emergency services, including the BC Wildfire crews and every firefighter who stands tall across the Okanagan. In the last weeks, their heroic efforts to safeguard our families and homes have been nothing short of awe-inspiring. As we move forward, we hold their commitment close to our hearts.

In Lake Country, our ongoing build project has reached an exciting milestone. With a roof overhead, we’re now gearing up for drywalling, set to commence by November. This progress brings us one step closer to providing a secure and stable haven for 4 more deserving families.

We recently made our debut at the Armstrong Interior Provincial Exhibition (IPE). The outpouring of support for our “You Win, We Build” 50/50 lottery was nothing short of amazing, our jackpot has now reached an astounding $12,000! Your involvement is not just a contribution; it’s an investment in the betterment of our community.

This month, we will also be selling 50/50 tickets at the Greater Westside Board of Trade’s Manchester Business After Hours event to boost the total even higher.

I invite you to meet us in person at the Kelowna Volunteer Fair this Saturday, Sept 16th, and the Vernon Volunteer Fair on Saturday, Sept 23rd. These events are wonderful opportunities to engage with our team, learn more about our initiatives, and explore ways you can actively contribute to our mission.

The Gibson Custom Homes All Black Affair, held in support of Habitat for Humanity Okanagan on Saturday Sept 16th, is now completely SOLD OUT. This response showcases the depth of compassion and dedication within our community, and we are truly grateful.

Enjoy your September!
