CEO message – August

I’m delighted to inform you that we had some major wins in the last month.

  • ReStore sales exceed revised budget by 9%
  • We have secured tenants for Kyle Road, Rick and Neil have done an amazing job to clear the space in time for the new tenants to take over the leases
  • We received some financial support to offset the mortgage deferrals extended to our families
  • We sold out of our July raffle tickets again and we are quickly selling through our October draw

I’m also pleased to announce that our financial performance at the half year point is much better than we expected, considering the store closures in spring.  Our forecast indicates we will exceed our 2020 budget if sales and costs remain on track.  This is a great achievement and a credit to the hard work of the staff and volunteers. Thank you all for your contribution.

The management team have an ambitious plan of initiatives that we are aiming to complete by the end of the year, this includes relaunching the kitchen salvage program, developing our human resources procedures, implementing new software and making changes to the home owner services program in preparation for our campaign to recruit more families for the Lake Country build.  We are striving to improve efficiencies across all our functions.

Thanks again to our donors, volunteers and staff for everything you do to support our mission.
