You may have been wondering ‘what has our new CEO been doing since she joined in the summer?’ Well folks this is my opportunity to give you an update on what’s been happening in my world.
I’ll start by saying what a great place it is to work! I have met so many nice people connected to Habitat; national office employees, ReStore staff, volunteers, suppliers and customers. Each one very engaged and participating in some way to our mission. Your contribution is recognized and very appreciated.
As some of you have witnessed Habitat Okanagan has grown into a major operation with many facets, and the speed of this growth has left many of our procedures and systems behind in the wake. Learning about the organization and how it ticks has been my main focus, I want to get a good grasp on how everything links so that I can identify the pain points and opportunities for improvement. As I begin to identify these and take actions to address them you are going to see some changes in how we operate. I hope that you will see and feel the benefit of these changes and enjoy the journey ahead as we evolve.
