Volunteering with Habitat for Humanity Okanagan and the ReStore is a rich
and meaningful experience. It’s a perfect opportunity to connect with others
who share similar values and to give back to the community in a way that
directly impacts local families.
Volunteers are the life of our organization. Together they have contributed
their time, talents and enthusiasm for approximately 30, 000 hours every year.
We had the pleasure of meeting a Partner Family this week, and she told me she moved into a townhouse thanks to Habitat for Humanity. I asked her what she and her children thought of their new home and she said it is a miracle. Gives me shivers just writing this!!! Meeting a Partner Family is definitely the highlight of our week/month/etc. We were very pleased to do our very small part this week. Also, today my husband and I volunteer at the ReStore worked and are so impressed!!!
