Do you like to help others and have a passion for changing lives?<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Habitat for Humanity Okanagan is looking for a full-time ReStore Associate to join their awesome team in Vernon.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">The successful candidate is committed, compassionate, dedicated and passionate about making a difference in the lives of those requiring affordable homeownership.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><strong>JOB SUMMARY:<\/strong> Working as part of a team, the ReStore Associate performs all general operations and merchandising duties. Key responsibilities include:<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">*operating the cash register<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">*providing excellent customer service<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">*ensuring store cleanliness<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">* accepting and screening drop-off donations<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">*ensuring the timely processing of products &#8211; cleaning, pricing stocking the sales floor<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">* assist customers with moving product<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">* ensuring the yard and loading areas are clear and safe<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><strong>WORKING CONDITIONS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Standing for long periods<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Repetitive lifting of up to 50 lbs<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Working with the public and volunteers<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Working in extreme weather conditions<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><strong>KNOWLEDGE\/REQUIREMENTS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Good physical condition<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Effective communication<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Attention to lifting and safety practices<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Strong interpersonal skills<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Independent worker<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Operation of lifting devices and tools<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Adaptable to changing environment.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">The ReStore is open Monday through Saturday from 9 am until 5 pm.
