We are jingling with excitement as our 2021 Jingle Bell Build campaign is now in full flow and on course to raise more funds for our Lake Country build.\u00a0 The main prizes for this event are a Nintendo Switch games console for the individual prize, and a 55\u201d smart TV for the team prize.\u00a0 We have had great support from a number of sponsors and participation has already been higher than 2020. \u00a0The kits are selling out very quickly, if you want to join in the fun, please visit https:\/\/trellis.org\/jinglebellbuild<\/a>.\u00a0 If you\u2019re a Global TV viewer you will also see how they are promoting the event https:\/\/youtu.be\/ZlqI-Re_WkI<\/a>.<\/p>\n I\u2019m delighted to share the news that the West Kelowna ReStore has already achieved its 2021 revenue target!\u00a0 Congratulations and a big thank you to the staff and volunteers that have worked hard to achieve this.<\/p>\n \u2018Tis the season to celebrate and this means it\u2019s time for Habitat to host the staff and volunteers Christmas parties.\u00a0 Don\u2019t miss opportunity to join in the fun.\u00a0 Contact your local store managers for details on when these are taking place.<\/p>\n We are about to launch our year end appeal, our last fundraiser of 2021.\u00a0 The appeal will be circulated digitally to all of\u00a0 our contacts.\u00a0 If you are interested in donating, please follow the instructions provided.\u00a0 As with all our fundraising this year, every dollar is being allocated to our build project and helping to change the lives of local families.<\/p>\n Boulevard Okanagan recently featured our board chair Sharon Conway in an article about her journey with Habitat.\u00a0 Sharon\u2019s passion for Habitat\u2019s mission is very clearly conveyed as she shares the experiences she has had since getting involved and why she is committed to the work that we do.\u00a0 More on her story can be found here:\u00a0 http:\/\/www.boulevardmagazines.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/2021_11_blvdok_LR.pdf<\/a><\/p>\n Tarmac has now been laid on the build site and the framing continues the duplex and triplex.\u00a0 I\u2019m happy to report that we are still within our budget for this project thanks in part to the generosity of many contractors and suppliers, who have generously gifted labour and materials to help contain our costs in a time when building material costs have shot through the roof!<\/p>\n Wishing everyone a very enjoyable festive season!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Hello everyone!
