HABITAT FOR HUMANITY OKANAGAN WELCOMES NEW FAMILY INTO PEACHLAND HOME THROUGH BUY-BACK PROGRAM<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Peachland, BC<\/strong> \u2013 Amid BC\u2019s ongoing housing crisis, another local family has found hope through Habitat for Humanity Okanagan\u2019s affordable homeownership program.<\/p>\n

The home was previously owned by a family that partnered with Habitat who, after years of building equity, qualified for a traditional mortgage to purchase a home independently. Through Habitat\u2019s unique buy-back model, it was reacquired and made available to a new family in need.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a powerful example of how our unique home ownership model creates long-term impact,\u201d said Andrea Manifold, CEO of Habitat for Humanity Okanagan. \u201cWhen a family transitions to a home outside of the program, we exercise the option to buy back the home and reinvest into another family\u2019s future. It\u2019s a sustainable way to keep affordable housing in reach for those who need it most.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThis opportunity to purchase a home through Habitat is immeasurable. The impact that it has for our daughter, and for her future siblings, it\u2019s the piece that our family was missing.\u201d said the new homeowners at their official key ceremony.<\/p>\n

This homecoming highlights the long-term impact of Habitat\u2019s model. It\u2019s not just about building homes; it\u2019s about building a cycle of opportunity that continues to impact families for generations.<\/p>\n
