Habitat for Humanity Okanagan is an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity Canada, a for-impact, non-profit housing organization. Habitat for Humanity\u2019s model empowers families to invest in home ownership. Habitat for Humanity Okanagan brings people together to build homes, communities and hope.<\/p>\n
Influencing a transformative social impact in our local community is important to us. Through volunteer labour, efficient management and tax-deductible donations of money and materials, Habitat for Humanity builds and rehabilitates simple, decent houses with the help of homeowner (Habitat) families. Habitat for Humanity homes are sold to qualified families with no cash down payment required and are financed with an affordable Habitat mortgage. Mortgage payments go into a revolving fund, which is used by affiliates to build more homes for more families in need.<\/p>\n
Habitat for Humanity Okanagan has been in the Okanagan valley since 1992, having built and sold 46 homes and currently has 33 partner families. We serve the Okanagan region from Armstrong to Osoyoos. Our Habitat for Humanity Okanagan affiliate offices are located on the second level at 1793 Ross Road in West Kelowna.<\/p>\n
